7x7 - Mixed Turf

  1. All players must bring a white and black shirt to every game. As a general rule, the home team wears black and the away team wears white. Uniforms cannot be too dark or light.
  2. A game can be delayed for 5 minutes maximum. After that time, the team that is late or under the minimum number of players required will lose their match by default.
  3. Except for the changes noted, all Official FIFA soccer rules apply.
  4. Teams play 7 a side. Teams need a minimum of 6 players (2 women) to start a game. A team that doesn't have the minimum number of players at the start of the game cannot « recruit » players on the spot to complete the team.
This team will lose by default and a 1-0 score will be recorded. Doing that, you can then start recruiting players to play a friendly game.
  5. If you think you might default, the polite thing to do is show up with as many players as possible and play a friendly game.  The club can provide you with a sub list but it is your responsibility as a team to find replacements.
  6. Every team is responsible for bringing a first aid kit to each game.
  7. Teams must submit their score prior to 5 pm the day following their game or they will receive a score of 0.  No exceptions.  Please double check your score with the opposing captain prior to leaving the gym or field.
  8. A team that defaults 2 or more games can be asked to leave the league with no refund (missing players, no-show...).
  9. The game must finish on time regardless of start time. Start on time (be early) to get the most play time. If you don't see your ref or FP monitor, pls play your game as you would normally.
  10. The goaltender cannot use their hands if the soccer ball has been kicked to them by their own team player.
  11. There is no screaming from the sidelines or other players. If you weren’t involved, please do not get involved.
  12. Substitutions should be done near the players "bench" without gaining an advantage.
  13. "Handball" occurs any time a player plays the ball with any part of their arm. It is the player's responsibility to call it. The ball changes possesion. If a player intentionally touches the ball in the penalty area in order to stop a goal, a penalty kick can be awarded.
  14. Shin pads are not mandatory but recommended.
  15. No sliding is permitted (except for the goalie in his penalty box).
  16. A tackle will be punished with a yellow card. Cursing will be punished with a red card.
  17. NO CONTACT OR AGGRESSIVE PLAY WILL BE TOLERATED. IF A COMPLAINT IS FILED, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE LEAGUE.

  • The game is self-officiated; the person who commits the foul is responsible for calling it. There is no screaming from the sidelines or other players. If you weren’t involved, please do not get involved.
  • Keep in mind that your fair-play monitor is NOT a referee. He is not there to make calls during your game. If your team is having issues, the team captains should seek their help. The monitors must be respected at all times. See Fair Play Rules.
  • Rough, physical and unsportsmanlike behaviors will be reported. A Fair Play monitor may issue a yellow card.
